Captain’s Weekly Fishing Report Oct. 31, 2024
November 1, 2024The fishing action is on fire right now in our area! This week we’re seeing solid blackfish, striped bass, and bluefish bites across the board. Last week’s Supermoon kicked up the current, so you might need 8oz or more to hold bottom,
especially during the flood tide. Green crabs are the ticket for blackfish, with the best bite happening in the top two hours of the flood. Be prepared to sort through shorts, but those 21-inch, 7-pounders are definitely in the mix!
For striped bass, the mid-ebb tide has been producing solid results. Keep an eye on those birds—if they’re working, you’ve got a good chance of hooking up with some cocktail blues feeding on spearing. Water temps are ranging from 64-
58 degrees, making this prime time to hit the water and fill the cooler! Don’t miss out!
