October 23, 2024The cooler weather is kicking in, and the water temperatures are dropping, signaling the heart of the fall run. There’s no shortage of action out there right now, with plenty of baitfish schooling up in our area. Striped bass and blues are feeding aggressively, especially during the outgoing tide, making for some prime fishing opportunities. Meanwhile, the blackfish (tautog) season is off to an incredible start! The bite is strong, and the green crabs have been doing the trick for pulling up some quality fish. Now is the time to get out on the water, with conditions lining up perfectly for a memorable fall fishing experience.
