This week on the water, we hit the Connetquot River for some red-hot fly fishing action! Over 20 fish landed, including both rainbows and brooks, all feeding aggressively on topwater. In particular dry flies like parachutes and trenobly ants were the stars of the day, with fish eagerly striking anything on the surface. While the sizes weren’t anything to write home about, the consistent action made for an epic day using 3wt and 5wt setups—perfect for maximizing the fun on the river!

As a result first Mate Kory had incredible success landing both brook and rainbow trout using dry flies like parachutes and chernobyl ants. The topwater action was intense, offering a thrilling experience for any angler.
