An Exciting Week on the Water

Hello, fellow anglers and Sand City Charters enthusiasts! We’re back with another thrilling fishing report. This week has been filled with exciting moments and fantastic catches. Let’s dive into the highlights of our latest adventures.

Corporate Outing with Eric Hernandez and the “Why Knot” out of Huntington Harbor.

This week, we had the privilege of captaining the stunning Boston Whaler 380 Outrage, aptly named the “Why Knot.” Eric Hernandez, the proud owner, hired Captain Gaige to take some of his business associates out for a memorable day of fishing.

We began our journey by picking up Eric’s guests from the Stamford Yacht Club. With the powerful quad screws of the “Why Knot,” Captain Gaige got us to the fishing grounds in just minutes. The morning conditions were perfect, and the striped bass were plentiful on the sonar.  With an incoming tide the bite was a little slower to start but the group enjoyed an exhilarating fishing session, reeling in multiple striped bass and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

After an action-packed morning, we made our way to Prime in Stamford, CT, for a delightful lunch. The combination of successful fishing and a sumptuous meal made for a truly unforgettable day.

Family Fun with Frank and His Sons

Sunday’s charter brought us another wonderful experience, this time with Frank and his three sons. Despite the choppy conditions, the determination and excitement of the group were unwavering. Captain Gaige expertly navigated through the waves, ensuring a safe and enjoyable trip for all.

The striped bass bite was slower in the beginning but once the tide started moving they were chewing.  Frank and his sons managed to land several impressive stripers making it another epic trip aboard Sand City Charter.
