Captain Gaige’s Fishing Report: Father’s Day Weekend Recap

Father’s Day Weekend Extravaganza!

This past week has been nothing short of incredible here at Sand City Fishing. With Father’s Day weekend upon us, we were booked solid from Wednesday through Monday. Everyone’s been watching our videos of the striped bass we’ve been landing, and it seems everyone wants in on the action!

Friday’s Unforgettable Charter

On Friday, we had Scott, Matt, and Jerrah aboard, and what a day it was! From the moment we set off, it was non-stop action. We had double hookups and multiple fish being caught on one rig! This charter quickly made its way into our top 5 Most Fun Charters of all time. These guys knew how to have fun, and their energy was infectious. It was the perfect way to kick off the weekend.

A Milestone on Saturday

Saturday was special for a different reason. Rob brought out Erik and Wade, his two boys, along with his 74-year-old father-in-law, Kevin. Kevin had never landed a striped bass before, so this was a big milestone for him. Watching him land his first striped bass, which measured up to 39 inches, was a highlight of the weekend. It was a memorable trip for all of us, and a moment of pure joy for Kevin and his family.

 Father’s Day Family Fun

Sunday was Father’s Day, and George brought his three boys out for some quality family time. None of the boys were seasoned fishermen, but they were all eager to make Dad happy. And what Dad wanted was to land some striped bass! The day started slow, but as the tide began to move and the birds started working, the bite turned on. By the end of the day, everyone had a great time, and Dad’s wish was fulfilled.
